HB805 Anti-Trans Bill FAQ

On July 29, the North Carolina General Assembly overrode Governor Stein’s veto of HB805, the Anti-Trans/School Censorship Bill, passing the bill into law. While there are multiple provisions of this law that harm the transgender and nonbinary communities here in North Carolina, we have received specific questions asking for clarity regarding the portions about gender-affirming care and birth certificate updates.
