GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Alamance County, N.C. Branch of the NAACP and eight individual plaintiffs in North Carolina claimed victory today after a federal judge for the Middle District of North Carolina granted their motion for a preliminary injunction.

North Carolina — The American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina sent letters today urging Senators Burr and Tillis to expand COVID-19 testing, treatment, and much-needed COVID-19 relief in order to protect the health and future of the country.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU of North Carolina, and Sullivan & Cromwell filed a lawsuit today challenging absentee ballot witness requirements that needlessly put North Carolinians at risk of exposure to COVID-19.

RALEIGH– In response to a lawsuit and motion for a temporary restraining order filed Friday morning by civil rights groups, a federal judge today granted a consent temporary restraining order following an agreement reached by the City of Graham, the Alamance County Sheriff, and plaintiffs.
