The ACLU of North Carolina filed an amicus brief in a North Carolina Supreme Court case challenging a trial court's decision to allow the Greensboro City Council to review body cam footage but prohibit them from speaking to their constituents about it. In December 2022, the Supreme Court returned the case to trial court, saying they could not restrict the Greensboro City Council's ability to speak publicly about the body cam footage without providing justification.
