Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and the fundamental right upon which all our civil liberties rest. Voting in national, state, and local elections can have a huge impact on the future for North Carolinians.
Be sure to get your information from official and trusted sources. When in doubt, call the Election Protection Hotline (888-OUR-VOTE) or visit the N.C. State Board of Elections website. If you have any questions about the voting process, you can speak with an elections expert at the nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline.
Note: Voter registration and absentee voting deadlines are different for military and overseas citizen voters.
