Sam is currently a legal fellow sponsored by the Arthur Liman Center for Public Interest Law. His work primarily focuses on the criminalization of students in North Carolina schools. Prior to beginning his fellowship, Sam spent two years clerking for Justice Anita Earls of the North Carolina Supreme Court, and he previously interned at a federal public defender office and the NAACP-LDF. He is a graduate of Duke University and Yale Law School and lives in Durham.
